The new Security and Defence Partnership further strengthens the close cooperation between the EU and Iceland and will contribute to the security and prosperity of the EU and Iceland that are interconnected.

Multilateral cooperation

Multilateral cooperation Ministry for Foreign Affairs Four multilateral organisations are of particular importance for the priorities of Iceland’s international development cooperation policy: the World Bank, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
