      Statement on restriction to freedom of expression and assembly in Uganda

      Iceland joins the European Union Delegation, the Heads of Mission of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom and the Heads of Mission of Japan, Norway, Republic of Korea and United States on the issuing the following statement on restriction to freedom of expression and assembly in Uganda.

      Joint Local Statement on the Uganda refugees’ response

      The Heads of Mission of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the European Union Delegation, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Republic of Korea, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States of America issue the following statement in Uganda. Over many years, the Government of Uganda and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have provided extraordinary life-saving support and assistance to hundreds of thousands of people who had sought refuge in Uganda.
