Minister of Justice and Gender Equality of Iceland meets with the Country Representatives of UNICEF and UNDFPA in Beijing

Thorbjörg Sigrídur Gunnlaugsdóttir, Minister of Justice of Iceland participated in the Beijing +30 Global Leaders on Women Conference in Beijing. With her delegation she furthermore had meetings with Ms Amakonde Sande, UNICEF Country Representative and with Ms Nadia Rasheed Country Representative of UNFPA in China, about gender equality, child protection and human rights. Iceland is a strong supporter of the both UN agencies and works with them in the field to enhance protection and wellbeing of children and to advance sexual and reproductive rights of women.
