Icelandic Day at the 4th China-Europe Energy Technology Innovation Cooperation Forum

Icelandic green energy sector was highlighted at the 4th China-Europe Energy Technology Innovation Cooperation Forum in Chengdu.  Ambassador Thorir Ibsen and Deputy Head of Mission Inga Dora Petursdottir were joined by officials from the China National Energy Administration and Sichuan Energy Bureau, representatives from Arctic Green Energy, Carbon Recycling International and their respective Chinese partners and some other 80 participants at the special Icelandic Day session of the forum.

Ambassador Thorir Ibsen opened the Icelandic Day Session and witnessed the signing of cooperation between SINOPEC Green, the JV company between Arctic Green Energy and SINOPEC Star, and Tianfu Yongxin Laboratory.  Representatives from Arctic Green Energy and Carbon Recycling International made impressive presentations on their respective technologies and cooperation achievements in China, in addition to the video presentations by representatives of IceSurey (ISOR), GRO Geothermal Training and SnerpaPower, all expressing their solid interest in cooperation with their Chinese colleagues.

At the opening session of the main forum, Ambassador Thorir Ibsen gave awards to representative of 8 model projects of China-Europe energy cooperation, including the China-Iceland geothermal cooperation between Arctic Green Energy and SINOPEC Star.
