The Embassy Wears Pink for Bleiki Dagurinn
On 21 October, staff at the Embassy of Iceland in New Delhi wore pink to mark Bleiki dagurinn, or Pink Day, observed across Iceland each year in support of women diagnosed with cancer.
Led by the Icelandic Cancer Society through its Pink Ribbon campaign, the day sees people throughout Iceland wear the pink ribbon and dress in pink to show solidarity with those affected and to remember those who have been lost.
The Embassy joined the observance from New Delhi, underlining the importance of cancer awareness, early detection, and continued support for those affected by the disease.
