The opening of Dögg & Dýpi – A Space Between States at the Embassy of Iceland in Copenhagen

Dögg & Dýpi – A Space Between States is a collaborative initiative between the Icelandic designer Dögg Guðmundsdóttir, the design company Dýpi, the Embassy of Iceland, Iceland Design and Architecture, and Business Iceland. The exhibition brings together furniture, lighting and spatial design, and explores the dialogue between materiality, craftsmanship and contemporary Icelandic design, creating an environment that reflects the relationship between people, objects and space.

The official opening reception took place at the Embassy, where Ambassador Pétur Ásgeirsson welcomed guests alongside Halla Helgadóttir, Managing Director of Iceland Design and Architecture. Visitors also had the opportunity to meet the designers, who introduced the concepts behind the exhibition and discussed their work with attendees.

The opening was very well attended and marked a successful start to the Embassy's participation in 3daysofdesign 2026. Throughout the festival, the exhibition attracted a steady flow of visitors from across the international design community, providing an opportunity to showcase Icelandic creativity and innovation in one of the Nordic region's leading design events.

Although 3daysofdesign has now concluded, Dögg & Dýpi – A Space Between States will remain on display in the Embassy's foyer throughout the summer.
