Um sendiskrifstofu

Sendiráð Íslands í Peking var opnað árið 1995. Sendiráðið er með fyrirsvar gagnvart Kína og tveimur öðrum ríkjum, þ.e. Mongólíu og Víetnam.

Hlutverk sendiráðsins er að gæta hagsmuna Íslands og Íslendinga í umdæmisríkjum sínum, þróa og efla samskipti ríkjanna einkum á sviði utanríkismála, viðskipta- og ferðamála og menningarmála, og nýta öll tækifæri til þess að kynna Ísland og styrkja orðspor lands og þjóðar.
